Thanks to Sharon and Rick Sievers,co-owners of Suburban Waste Services, SYHA will be going GREEN! Time to Recycle those aluminum cans and earn cash.
Program details will be available soon, but until then we are looking for a trailer to be donated which will be turned into a collection receptacle that will be placed in the arena parking lot for 24 hours/7 days a week drop off of cans. Does anybody have an old trailer that we can transform into this?
Also, we are looking for 4-6 Handy people that might want to help with the construction of this. We will be having a short meeting this Wednesday night, 11/19/2008, at the Pullman club in Shakopee to develop a game plan for construction of the trailer and then we plan to meet for 2-3 hours on Saturday and Sunday to complete the project. If you are interested in helping please contact Sharon Sievers at 612-644-9810 or sharonsievers@msn.com.
Thank you for your consideration!

Shakopee is hosting an on ice hockey skills clinic for Shakopee Hockey coaches on Sunday, November 23rd from 2:45 – 4:45. The session will include one hour of training in skating and one hour on stick handling.
The session is geared toward mite, squirt and U10 coaches but all are welcome to attend.
Minnesota Hockey is providing this clinic to Shakopee free of charge. Last year we had over 20 coaches take advantage of the opportunity.
Whether you are already a coach or are considering taking on this rewarding challenge this is a good session to attend. If interested please RSVP to André Prahl at andreprahl@hotmail.com.
Note: We are also looking for 10-12 squirt, peewee, or U10 players to be on the ice with the coaches. If you have kids interested in getting some extra ice time, please contact André Prahl at the above address. The first 12 kids to respond will be accepted.
